At Özgür Yazılım A.Ş., we have been welcoming interns from all over Turkey, every day of the year, since 2012.
We take a meticulous approach to the internship process, beginning from the application and interview stages, ensuring interns gain an experience that closely mirrors real work life. As part of their university education, interns temporarily join our work environment and participate in real-life projects, giving them the experience of working within a team. They see that the tasks they perform are not merely assignments but are parts of a product that benefits other people in the real world.
To date, more than 300 interns from over 50 different universities have participated in this program, which also allows us to meet future colleagues with whom we may work at Özgür Yazılım A.Ş. In fact, 70% of our current team members are former interns who joined us during their studies.

We encourage team members at Özgür Yazılım A.Ş. to participate as speakers in major national conferences and events organized by university communities, sharing their technical knowledge and expertise.
For the numerous events we’ve attended so far, we make an effort to publish presentation files and, if available, videos of our talks on our community website and the company’s YouTube channel.
Each year, we not only provide financial support for the Mustafa Akgül Free Software Summer and Winter Camps, but we also actively support our team members at Özgür Yazılım A.Ş. in personally engaging with their peers to provide direct training.
With training sessions lasting from 4 to 15 days, we offer education on various topics, including GNU/Linux, Graylog, Zabbix, MongoDB, Redis, ElasticSearch, Kubernetes, SDLC processes, and more.
To date, more than 300 interns from over 50 different universities have taken part in this program, allowing us to connect with future colleagues who may join Özgür Yazılım A.Ş. In fact, 70% of our current team consists of individuals who previously interned with us during their studies.
We don’t just use free and open-source software; we also develop our own software openly and make it accessible to everyone.
On our organization pages on GitHub and GitLab, anyone can view our software projects and source code repositories. This allows not only the “final product” to be examined but also the development process itself, including code evolution and changes made along the way. To date, we have released dozens of software projects, both large and small.
The applications we release under free licenses are available for everyone to use, just like any other free and open-source software.
As Özgür Yazılım A.Ş., we provide financial support to long-standing nationwide events focused on free and open-source software.
We are proud to sponsor the Mustafa Akgül Free Software Camps, which have been held annually for over 10 years. In the past, we also sponsored events such as the Free Software and Linux Days, Free Web Technologies Days, and similar gatherings.
